A Riverside Celebration: Sean & Steph’s DIY Wedding at The White Hart, Brigg


I was fortunate enough to be Sean and Steph's White Hart wedding photographer in October, and it's always a delight to capture celebrations that are as unique and personal as the couple themselves. Sean and Steph's wedding at The White Hart in Brigg was a perfect example of this—a day filled with love, laughter, and personal touches that truly reflected their personalities.​


Nestled on the banks of the Old River Ancholme, The White Hart offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities. This Grade II listed former pub has been thoughtfully converted into an exclusive-use venue, providing a blank canvas for couples to craft their dream wedding. With 15 boutique-style bedrooms accommodating up to 40 guests, a spacious function area, and a riverside beer garden, it was the perfect setting for Sean and Steph’s weekend-long celebration .​


What set this wedding apart was Sean’s role as both groom and chef. As a professional in the culinary world, he took the reins in the kitchen (and roped in some unknowing groomsman), preparing a sumptuous feast that delighted all in attendance. The White Hart’s modern kitchen facilities made it possible for Sean to showcase his skills, adding a deeply personal touch to the day, whilst also providing me with the unique opportunity to capture more of the behind-the-scenes running of the day than I perhaps usually would.
